    School 2 Career

A program of Oakland Planning and Development Corp.

    Our Mission

To ensure at-risk students from Pittsburgh’s urban core have the support to graduate from high school prepared to pursue a career and post secondary education. We accomplish this goal through collaboration with the family, the school, employers and the community. We provide one-on-one mentoring, job development and career exploration, while teaching the students important virtues such as dependability, accountability and responsibility.

    Our Program

The program runs year around and is multi-faceted: in the summer, staff work with students daily in skill-building workshops, followed by a mentored work experience where the student is placed in a job with one of our partner employers. During the school year, S2C provides an after-school academic enhancement program and a mentored work experience.
